Sarracenia x moorei 'Conversation Piece' is a carnivorous pitcher plant with tall, red to chartreuse pitchers.

Sarracenia is a genus of carnivorous pitcher plants native to North America. ‘Conversation Piece’ is just that with tall, 24 inch high, narrow tube-like pitchers with striking colouration. Heavily veined, the hoods are dark red with the pitchers graduating from red to chartreuse at the base. The nodding flowers bloom red on rigid stems in early spring. In fall, the pitchers turn burgundy with black veins and white accents on top. A slow growing perennial. Prefers open, sunny and boggy conditions and constant moisture. Do not fertilize. Perfect for the boggy garden on in container that sits in one inch of water at all times. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
