Sambucus nigra Black Tower
Sambucus nigra Black Tower forms upright columns of lush, purple-black foliage with flat-topped clusters of pink and white flowers followed by edible black fruit.

Sambucus nigra Black Tower ‘Eiffel 1’ (aka Licorice Stix) is an amazing columnar addition to the elderberries with strongly upright stems 6-8 feet tall and only 3-4 feet wide covered in lush, serrated, purple-black foliage similar to ‘Black Beauty’. Flat-topped clusters of pink and white, self-fertile flowers in early summer followed by purple-black, edible berries. More fruit is produced if a different cultivar is also present. Tolerant of moist sites.
