Salvia greggii ‘Amethyst Lips’, known as autumn sage, is a heat tolerant, sub-shrub with aromatic foliage and nectar-rich flowers. Lightly fragrant, continuously blooming, two-lipped, bi-colour blooms of wine-purple and white bloom continuously throughout the season. Growth habit is a compact and neat shrubby form 18 inches tall with a 24 inch spread. Prune to shape in early spring. Makes a super easy and appealing container plant for the patio and in the mixed sunny border and pollinator garden for all summer colour. Plant in full sun in hot dry spots with well-drained soils. Hummingbird and pollinator magnet. Deer resistant.
