Rudbeckia occidentalis ‘Green Wizard’

Rudbeckia occidentalis 'Green Wizard' is for esoteric gardeners who like odd plants, especially those without petals!

Rudbeckia occidentalis ‘Green Wizard’ is for esoteric gardeners who like odd plants. It’s a daisy without the petals. What’s left are cylindrical black cones with large green sepals and a little gold ring when the stamens of the cone’s disc florets emerge. The flower heads are held on tall upright stems and provide good winter interest if left to dry plus seeds for the birds.
