Rubus idaeus ‘Boyne’
Rubus idaeus 'Boyne' is a cold-hardy raspberry with medium sized sweet, tasty deep red raspberries in early summer.
Rubus idaeus ‘Boyne’ is a true Canadian raspberry bred in Manitoba so you know it’s cold hardy, reliable and disease resistant. ‘Boyne’ produces clusters of white blossoms which are followed by medium sized sweet, tasty deep red raspberries in early summer. Give raspberry plants good organic-rich soil, moist but well-drained in full sun to part shade but yield will be higher in full sun. Provide trellising for easier harvesting and control. Canes, which are covered in thorns, produce fruit in their 2nd year so remove fruited canes after fruiting so to encourage new canes. Remove excess suckers. Enjoy fresh, frozen, canned and baked.
