Rhododendron 'Minnetonka' has light purple to pink flowers with yellow-green specks from red-violet buds.

Rhododendron ‘Minnetonka’ features masses of large trusses of light purple to pink flowers with vivid yellow-green specks on the upper lobes. Deep, red-violet flower buds are equally captivating. Dark glossy green foliage provides a vivid contrast. The growth habit is dense and spreading reaching 3-4 feet tall with a 4-5 foot spread. Responds well to pruning after flowering. Benefits from evenly moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and mulch. Use as an accent, foundation or understorey shrub ,mass planting and for winter interest. Attracts bees and bumblebees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
