Rheum ‘Ace of Hearts’

Ornamental rhubarb with large, spade-shaped foliage emerging red-flushed later with green tops and bold red undersides.

An excellent ornamental rhubarb with large, bold spade-shaped foliage emerging entirely reddish in the spring. While the tops of the leaves fade to green, the reverses remain boldly dark red. With its upright behaviour the leaves continuously show off their burgundy-coloured reverses to great effect. Pale pink flower spikes in summer. Rich, well-drained soil in full to part shade. A great focal point plant.
