It has long, narrow, slightly arching, rich green leaves up to 12 inches long from slowly spreading rhizomes and can form a nice small mat with time. The fragrant, pink flowers sit amongst the foliage on dark pink spikes opening from dark pink buds in summer. May produce red fruit later in the season.
