Prunus domestica ‘Green Gage’

Prunus domestica 'Green Gage' is a popular, self-fertile, European plum with delicious yellow-green freestone fruit.

Prunus domestica ‘Green Gage’ is an all-time favourite European plum. Fragrant, white blossoms emerge in mid-spring followed in mid to late summer with a heavy crop of small to medium sized, oval, freestone, yellow-green plums. The flesh is amber in colour, very sweet, juicy and rich in flavour. Perfect for eating fresh, canning, jellies or jams. Self-fertile but will yield more with another cultivar. Grafted onto semi-dwarf root stock, trees will grow to 12-15 feet tall. Photo credit: Wikipedia.
