Prunus armeniaca ‘Tilton’ is a long-time favourite freestone apricot. Pink flowers emerge in mid-spring followed by medium sized, heart-shaped fruit in mid-summer. Skin is red-blushed with orange undertones. The flesh is firm, sweet and aromatic. Great for eating fresh, canning or drying. Can reach 15-20 feet tall and wide. While a self-pollinator, a partner increases crop yield. Photo credit: Wikipedia.
