Primula auricula ‘Gretel’ from the Bavarian Gaudi series offers large clusters of fragrant, single flowers that look like a bulls eye with an outer ring of red followed by an inner ring of white around mustard yellow centres. Thick, waxy leaves form a low rosette. Enjoys moist but well-drained soil. Use in the alpine, rock and woodland garden, in edging at the front of the border, containers and cut flowers. Deer and rabbit resistant.
