Polygonatum odoratum ‘Ruby Slippers’

Polygonatum odoratum 'Ruby Slippers' has bright red stems, green foliage with silver undersides, and white, pendulous flowers.

Polygonatum odoratum ‘Ruby Slippers’ is a unique Solomon’s seal with bright red, upright, arching stems 20 inches long from base to tip. The pendulous, fragrant, white flowers are borne on the undersides of each stem providing a striking contrast with blue berries that can follow and remain into late fall. The foliage is a star attraction too with solid deep green leaves and silvery undersides. Perfect for the woodland or shade garden, as a ground cover, and in a shady mixed container. Attracts hummingbirds.
