Polianthes tuberosa ‘Love’

Tuberoses (Polianthes tuberosa) are famous for their intoxicating fragrance. 'Love' has double rosy-red flowers.

Tuberoses (Polianthes tuberosa) are famous for their thick, delicious, intoxicating fragrance from spikes of lily-like flowers. ‘Love’ is a special double form with deep rosy-red flowers, an amazing colour break from the traditionally ivory white flowers. Flower spikes can reach from 2 to 3 feet tall. It is thought to be native to Mexico but is not known in the wild. It is hardy to zone 7 with protection. Where not hardy, grow in a pot and store in a frost-free location. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.
