Polemonium yezoense ‘Bressingham Purple’ is a beautiful Jacob’s ladder with smokey purple foliage topped with purple flowers that smell like grape Hubba Bubba bubblegum! Nothing takes you back to your childhood like the smell of bubblegum. The leaves emerge rich purple-black and lighten over time until green. At the time of flowering they are usually still purple-infused though warm temperatures will speed up the conversion from purple to green. Sun to part-shade. Popular with bees. Deer resistant.
