Pleione limprichtii

Pleione limprichtii produces beautiful fuchsia-pink flowers with red spotted, tubular lips.

Pleione limprichtii is a winter dormant pseudobulb that produces deep fuchsia-pink flowers with red spots on its tubular lips. Flowers are slightly smaller than P. speciosa. They slowly multiply to form colonies. Grow in clay pots or outdoors in gritty, loamy, well-drained soil in bright shade with ample summer moisture. Best to keep dry in winter though colonies in coastal BC seem to perform well even exposed to winter rain. In colder zones, keep at or just above 0 degrees C.
