Pleioblastus fortunei is a beautiful variegated bamboo that grows to an average of two and a half feet tall. The leaves are green on the edges with varying stripes of white and cream in the middle. It is a running bamboo that will eventually spread to form a nice thick groundcover. Mow it to the ground each spring if you want to keep it shorter and rejuvenate the foliage. Grows well from shade up to about 6 hours of sun a day.
