Philadelphus ‘Dainty Ladye’ is a hardy mock orange shrub with an abundance of small, intensely fragrant, single white flowers with contrasting purple to maroon sepals for a spectacular bi-coloured effect in early summer. Growth habit is upright with pendulous flower stems and glaucous green, small to medium foliage. Mature growth in 5 to 10 years is 78 inches tall and wide. To maintain stem colour, cut spent flowers branches to the base. Use as a foundation planting, for hedges, in borders, and for low privacy screens. Pollinator attractor.
