Perovskia atriplicifolia ‘Bluesette’ is a fragrant Russian Sage. Bright silvery-green foliage provides striking contrast with its abundant and long-lasting upright spikes of lavender-blue flowers. A dwarf, compact sub-shrub-like growth habit of 16 to 20 inches tall and wide allows for much versatility in the front to middle of the sunny border, small, rock, cottage and pollinator gardens. Native Habitat:  Native to southwestern and central Asia and parts of eastern Europe. The harsh habitats it prefers are comparable to the sagebrush steppe of North America. It is found in steppes and on hillsides, and grows at higher elevations in mountainous regions, including the Himalayas. May be an indicator species for soils with low calcium availability.
