Pennisetum setaceum ‘Fireworks’
‘Fireworks’ is a new variation on the spectacular purple fountain grass. In this case the midrib has the same rich burgundy but the edges of each leaf are variegated with hot pink! Fabulous. Forms clumps of bold arching foliage. From mid-summer to early autumn it bears masses of pink to purplish pink furry plumes that arch above the foliage. Use in mixed perennial beds, mass plantings, as well as in mixed containers. It looks good with almost everything. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
