Papaver orientale ‘Red Rumble’
Papaver orientale 'Red Rumble' is an Oriental poppy with extra large, semi-double ruffled, red petals and dark centres.

Papaver orientale ‘Red Rumble’ is a dramatic, easy-care and long-lived Oriental poppy. Extra large, semi-double-ruffled, crepe-like, ruby-red flowers, dark purple-black blotches at the base and dark purple eyes rise above grey-green, fern-like toothed leaves on strong, upright flower stems. Bred to retain its luster and upright habit without becoming floppy. Compact habit of 20 to 40 inches tall and up to 20 inches wide. Oriental poppies are dramatic additions to the perennial border. Grow in organically rich, medium moisture soil and full sun. They go semi-dormant after flowering as summer heat increases usually flushing new foliage as summer cools into fall. Plant a low, mounding perennial in front of your poppy patch to mask the bare spot. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.
