Paeonia Itoh ‘Yellow Crown’

Paeonia 'Yellow Crown' has yellow flowers with a blush of red at the centre. Itohs are exciting crosses between tree and garden peonies.

The blooms of Paeonia ‘Yellow Crown’ are semi-double to double in a brilliant shade of yellow with a hint of red at the base of the petals. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
