Paeonia Itoh ‘Symphonie Pourpre’
Paeonia 'Symphonie Pourpre' has fuchsia-purple flowers edged with a pink picotee. Itohs are exciting crosses between tree and garden peonies.

Paeonia ‘Symphonie Pourpre’ is considered the most floriferous of the Itoh cultivars. It creates a crescendo of ruffled, semi-double, fuchsia-purple flowers with petal edges lightly notched and edged in a creamy pink picotee. Yellow centres complete the composition. Grows 30-36 inches high and wide. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
