Paeonia Itoh ‘Julia Rose’

Paeonia 'Julia Rose' has nearly single to double, pink flowers with peach and yellow highlights.

Paeonia ‘Julia Rose’ offers flowers of ever changing colours opening first from cherry red buds into glowing apricot-pink fading through peach to yellow. The flowers have a spicy fragrance and can be single to semi-double likely depending on the season and/or the age of the plant. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
