Paeonia Itoh ‘Hillary’
Paeonia 'Hillary' has rosy-pink petals that age to cream with a red centre. Itohs are exciting crosses between tree and garden peonies.
Paeonia ‘Hillary’ has large, lightly fragrant, semi-double to double, rosy-pink and light apricot flowers with a maroon-red centre. Flower colour ages to cream over time. Height and spread can reach 35 inches. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
