Paeonia Itoh ‘Gordon E. Simonson’

Paeonia 'Gordon E. Simonson' has extra large, double, pink flowers with yellow stamens. Itohs are exciting crosses between tree and garden peonies.

Paeonia ‘Gordon E. Simonson’ is an Itoh Peony with spectacular flower size and colour. Twice the size of other Itohs is sure to impress along with frilly, semi-double, fragrant flowers in fuchsia-pink with creamy yellow stamens. Grows 30-36 inches high and wide. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
