Paeonia Itoh ‘Duchesse de Lorraine’
Paeonia 'Duchesse de Lorraine' has fully double flowers in shades of lemon yellow.
The blooms of Paeonia ‘Duchesse de Lorraine’ are the first fully double flowers of an Itoh peony far surpassing ‘Bartzella’ in shades of lemon yellow. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
