Packera is a daisy relative that forms a great groundcover for sun or shade with cheerful yellow flowers.

Packera aurea forms golden daisies held over shiny green, toothed basal leaves in May. Blooms heavily even in the shade. A strong groundcover where happy, especially in shadier, moist locations and an excellent cut flower. Self seeds and naturalizes. Native to eastern North America. Evergreen on the west coast. Herbaceous in colder regions. Syn: Senecio aureus.

Golden Ragwort is more shade-tolerant than many other Senecio spp. (Ragworts).
