Oxalis spiralis vulcanicola ‘Sunset Velvet’ is a non-invasive volcanic sorrel serving as a fabulous groundcover with stunning sunset hues of gold, orange, pink and coppery-yellow, tri-foliate shamrock-like leaves that fade to lime green in summer then deep magenta in autumn. Brilliant yellow flowers on coral stems emerge above the foliage in spring to summer. Growth habit is 10 inches tall with a 24 inch spread. se as a striking deciduous groundcover for spilling over retaining walls, containers, in the rock garden and as a house plant.
