Osteospermum ‘4D Blue Ice’ commonly known as African daisy, is a bushy, evergreen, tender perennial with a twist. Unlike most African daisies, this cultivar stay open day and night! Fully double, bi-coloured flowers display larger pale icy-violet outer petals hosting a full rosette of darker violet quilled petals.
Long lasting blooms from spring to frost. Stems are upright with lance-shaped green foliage. Growth habit is 8 to 12 inches tall with a 12 to 16 inch spread. Treat as an annual in lower hardiness zones. Deadhead to promote more blooms. Use in sunny borders, cottage or rock garden and containers. Deer and rabbit resistant.
