Ornithogalum saundersiae

Ornithogalum saundersiae is a South African bulb with clusters of fragrant, upward facing, white flowers on long stems.

Ornithogalum saundersiae or chinkerinchee is a stately bulb with clusters of ivory white flowers with black centres around light green buds atop 4-5 foot stems. Is it as you would an Allium in your summer borders, pots, and vases. No need to lift for the winter as long as drainage is good. Will clump up over time with multiple crowns. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Just don’t cook with it and you’ll be fine.
