Opuntia x columbiana ‘Golden Globe’

Opuntia x columbiana 'Golden Globe' is a prickly pear cactus with yellow flowers and shaggy upright pads.

Opuntia x columbiana (syn. polyacantha x erinacea var. columb) ‘Golden Globe’ is a prickly pear cactus with densely petaled flowers in golden-yellow with orange stamens followed by purple fruit. Pads are shaggy and upright to about 5 inches big and wide. Growth habit is 8-10 inches high and forms a spreading mat 36-48 inches. Requires full sun with very sharp, careful drainage as this species is a cliff dweller. Much more drought tolerant than other cactus.
