Narcissus jonquilla is a species from Spain and Portugal that has been cultivated since the 1700s for its oil, a component of many perfumes, even today. It has narrow, rush-like leaves – jonquilla comes from juncus which means rush. ‘Kokopelli’ has bright yellow flowers with broad, overlapping tepals and a darker yellow, open corona that is flared wide.
