Nandina domestica ‘Red Light’
Nandina domestica 'Red Light' is a dwarf, variegated heavenly bamboo with new red to purple growth.

Nandina domestica ‘Red Light’ is a compact, dwarf heavenly bamboo with a nice, upright and bushy evergreen habit 24 inches tall by 20 inches wide. The new growth emerges with eye-catching shades of deep red and purple. The mature foliage is variegated green and white. Small, lightly fragrant, white flowers bloom in summer followed by long-lasting red berries in autumn. Not a bamboo at all but a well-behaved, non-spreading, versatile, evergreen shrub that can be grown in full sun to part shade with great form, texture and colour. Use as a low-growing hedge, as an accent in the mixed border, and in containers. Tolerant of dry conditions.
