Musa acuminata 'Dwarf Cavendish' is a fruit-bearing banana with red cone-shaped flowers and broad foliage. Highly ornamental.

Musa acuminata ‘Dwarf Cavendish’ is a tropical, fruit-bearing, edible banana plant that is also prized as an ornamental. Flowers are large and cone shaped emerging from the centre of the tree. Their fuchsia bracts reveal white tubular flowers producing small, tasty bananas. Young plants have long, broad, paddle-shaped leaves that emerge maroon or blotchy but then fade to green as they mature. Requires, moist well-drained soil with heat, sun and humidity. If kept indoors, the plant won’t go dormant. Very pretty and fun to grow.
