Miscanthus sinensis ‘Tiger Tail’
Miscanthus sinensis 'Tiger Tail' is a tall maiden grass with horizontal bands of yellow and bronze late summer flowers.
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Tiger Tail’ is a large, fast growing banded maiden grass. A multi-season grass with an unusual twist in its variegation, that of green blades punctuated with horizontal bands of pale yellow, it will reach 5-7 feet high and 3-44 feet wide forming a graceful, upright V-shaped habit. Golden-bronze inflorescences appear in late summer to early fall. Great for winter interest since the decorative form, albeit straw-coloured, usually lasts until spring also providing a home to beneficial insects.
