Miscanthus sinensis ‘Fire Dragon’ is a tall, upright maiden grass reaching 6-7 feet in height topped with silky, silver white flower heads in fall when the foliage turns to amazing shades of brilliant orange, vermillion, and carmine red. Plants provide good winter interest with persistent flower plumes and tan foliage. Cut to the ground in spring just before the new foliage begins to emerge. Use as a screen, specimen, wind break, for soil erosion, patio containers, and for dried flower arrangements. Deer resistant.
