Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferner Osten' has dark red and pink plumes and striking bright copper and red fall foliage autumn.

Miscanthus sinensis ‘Ferner Osten’ is a mid height maiden grass to 4-5 feet tall that develops dark red and pink plumes in late summer and striking bright copper and red foliage in autumn. The foliage is narrow providing great texture through the whole season. Miscanthus are one of the best grasses for year-round beauty: new green shoots in the spring become tall linear leaves that form an elegant clump by midsummer. Attractive flowers emerge in fall. In winter the leaves turn straw colour.
