Miscanthus sinensis ‘Encore’
Miscanthus sinensis 'Encore' is an early-blooming and reblooming maiden grass.
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Encore’ is an early-blooming and reblooming maiden grass. The first flush of flowers appear in late summer with a second flush appearing later in fall as the first flush turns reddish and tan. We hypothesize that in cool summer and northern climates where Miscanthus does not often bloom or bloom profusely, ‘Encore’ will put on a great show but might not rebloom. In warmer summer or more southerly climates you should see the reblooming. Foliage is lush green with a white midrib turning tan in winter.
