Magnolia 'Free Spirit' is a prostrate, evergreen form with ambrosially scented spring flowers.

Magnolia laevifolia/Michelia yunnanensis ‘Free Spirit’ is a unique, evergreen cultivar with a prostrate form and lustrous, deep green, oval pointed leaves and downy copper-hued reverse. Creamy white blooms and ambrosial fragrance in spring, sometimes repeating in fall. A natural hybrid from New Zealand, it prefers a sheltered position in bright dappled light and well-drained soil. A good choice for containers, it reaches 24″ tall.
