Magnolia Burgundy Star is a luscious cultivar from famed New Zealand breeder Mark Jury. It offers incredibly dark claret red, five inch wide flowers in which you can also see subtle tones of red, magenta and purple. The flowers are long-lasting with good, stable colours and a light fragrance. They are produced in large numbers clustered along the stems. The trees grow to 10-15 feet tall and 6-8 feet wide. Cultivar name: ‘Jurmag4’. For the 2024 Rare Flowering Tree Pre-Order plants will be in 1g pots and about 2 feet tall.
