It is a beautiful semi-evergreen to evergreen shrub with long-blooming, fragrant, spidery, fringed flowers in white and shades of pink. ‘Pipa’s Red’ has rich burgundy foliage and bright magenta flowers that bloom profusely in spring and sporadically throughout the growing season. Grow in containers and protect in winter or, in coastal BC, plant in well-drained soils in a protected location. Can be popular with hummingbirds. Tolerant of dry soils once established.
