Lonicera caerulea ‘Stawberry Sensation’
Lonicera caerulea 'Strawberry Sensation' has dark blue berries with an aftertaste of strawberries.

Lonicera caerulea, known as haskap or honeyberry, is a super hardy zone 2 shrubby honeysuckle that produces tasty cylindrical blue fruits high in vitamin C that taste like a combination of blueberry and raspberry that can be eaten fresh or used for pies, jams, jellies, and other desserts. ‘Strawberry Sensation’ offers high production of dark blue berries with a refreshing sweet-tart flavour with an aftertaste of strawberries. It is a late-blooming variety. Good pollinators are ‘Boreal Beauty’ and ‘Blue Velvet’ but other late-blooming cultivars will also do the trick. Haskaps need to be pollinated by a different clone, all of which will bear fruit. Fragrant, yellow, tubular, spring flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer resistant.
