Lobelia cardinalis ‘Black Truffle’, or cardinal flower, has dark chocolatey-purple foliage and bold red flowers that are favourites with hummingbirds. Quick to establish and vigorous. Prefers full sun and performs quite well in average to wet soil. Great when used in mass plantings, along the middle of the border, pond edges and rain gardens.
