Liriope muscari

This lilyturf cultivar is a tufted, grass-like perennial offering a clump of strap-like, arching, medium green leaves (to 1″ wide). Clumps slowly expand by short stolons but are not invasive. Short spikes of tightly packed lilac-purple flower rise just above the leaves in late summer which are followed by blackish berries.
