It prefers moist, dappled shade beneath deciduous trees and may vary widely in height depending on the winter. In Korea and Japan, it is known as “Gakeshima-Yuri”. Known for hybridizing with Lilium martagon, it is a parent of the beloved ‘Mrs RO Backhouse’.
