Lilium (Asiatic) ‘Strawberry Event’

Lilium 'Strawberry Event' is an Asiatic lily with large, red petals displaying almost black speckling and orange stamens.

Lilium ‘Strawberry Event’ is an Asiatic lily with eye-popping, 5-7 inch wide flowers of deep red with a generous sprinkling of hues from dark purple to almost black at the centres. Displays well at the back of the border on 48 inch tall burgundy stems. Flowers are recurved and slightly pendant. Spectacular in the border, containers and as cut flowers. For best displays, plant 3 or more bulbs together. Easy to grow. Keep the roots cool and moist during the growing season. Remove developing seed pods after flowering to focus resources back into the bulb. Allow leaves to yellow in the fall before removing stems. Pollinator friendly.
