Kniphofia Pyromania ‘Solar Flare’

Kniphofia Pyromania 'Solar Flare' is a red hot poker with torches of tubular bright yellow flowers and grass-like foliage.

Kniphofia ‘Solar Flare’ comes to us from the Pyromania collection with eye-popping, tropical-looking torches of tubular flowers in brilliant yellow on spikes that bloom among and above its grass-like foliage. A nice upright and clumping habit of 36 to 42 inches tall with a 24 to 30 inch spread. Red hot pokers bloom and rebloom all summer long. Use for drama, vertical appeal and textural contrast in the middle of the border, as a specimen, focal point, and as cut flowers. Prefers hot, dry conditions, but needs watering when blooming. Drought tolerant once established. Popular with hummingbirds and pollinators. Deer and rabbit resistant.
