Ixia ‘Yellow Emperor’
Ixia 'Yellow Emperor' is an exotic South African iris relative called wand flower with bright yellow flowers and dark eyes.
Ixia ‘Yellow Emperor’ has bright yellow flowers with burgundy-black centres. Wand flowers or African corn lilies are exotic South African iris relatives that produce spikes of beautiful flowers in a range of bold colours. Considerable disagreement exists online as to hardiness but it seems that bulbs should be hardy in free-draining soils in zone 8 and, if mulched, in zone 7. In colder regions grow in a container and bring into a frost free location for winter.
