Iris TB ‘Ziggy’
Iris 'Ziggy' has straw yellow standards and white falls heavily and variably overlaid with reddish purple.
‘Ziggy’ is a boisterous cultivar to 30 inches with straw yellow standards infused with lavender at the midribs. Its white falls are heavily overlaid with variable splashes and stripes of reddish purple. Slight fragrance. Blooms/reblooms early, mid season, and late. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
