Iris TB ‘Wench’
Iris 'Wench' offers a dramatic contrast of colours with light pink standards and deep plum purple falls etched with white.
‘Wench’ offers a dramatic contrast of colours with light pink standards and deep plum purple falls etched with white stripes around the orange beards and edged with a thin lavender-pink line. Blooms in the early mid season at 34 inches high with 7-9 flowers per stem. Non-fragrant. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant. Photo: Wikipedia.
